Three Forks Area Ambulance Meeting Minutes
June 5th, 2017
Called to order at 1831
Members Present: Becky, Pete, TJ, Traci, John, Jonelle, Kelly, Connie, Kim, Brad, Cindy, Natalie and Board Members Bruce, Jim and Gayle.
Minutes of Previous Meeting approved.
Intro of Guests: none
Correspondence: We received a very nice "Thinking of You" card from Broadwater Healthcare in Townsend and a letter from AMR explaining some possible future changes if Central Valley becomes a transporting agency.
Old Business:
Last Month's Training: Pediatric Assessment by Amber Olson with Central Valley. All felt it was very informative and went well.
New Business:
Maintenance (Pete): We are down to 1 rig currently (Amb 2). Amb 1 has been involved in an accident and will need repaired and Amb 3 was sold. We are currently waiting for our new Ambulance to arrive, but the delivery date has now been moved into July.
Supplies (David): Monitor patches were added to list. Becky will pick up band-aids in town.
Safety (John): Article was read about Driving Safety. We need to all be cautious when driving new rig as the handling and configuration will be totally different than we are used to. All members will be taking Driving Course this year in the new rig. Discussion about securing items (monitor, etc) that could injure someone in case of accident.
Training and events:
June 8-9 Resuscitation Academy Helena, MT. There are still a couple openings.
June 19th: Live Scenarios
June 20th 1830 Sappington Plant Mock Scenarios w/ Willow Creek Fire and Reach
June 22nd Community Days at Imery's 1600 to 1900 (food served at 1500) hands only CPR, beer goggles, etc
July 14th and 15th Rodeo Weekend
July 17th Driving- classroom portion
August 7th CPR Pro recert and LUCAS/Lifepak 15
T Shirt Order (TJ): Shirts are in and will be picked up this week
EMS Week (Pete): Dinner/Pizza Party went good. Open House was cancelled due to Funeral Services for fallen Officer Mason Moore.
Rodeo Weekend and BBQ (TJ): Food will be handled by TJ's brother and his wife, since Pixie is unavailable this year. Volunteers welcome to come in and pull meat once it is smoked. We will be serving pulled pork, hot dogs, baked beans, etc. Members are welcome to bring in side dishes in addition to the 2 dozen desserts we are expected to bring. Cindy is in charge of Silent Auction, she will send out spreadsheet so can keep track and not hit up same businesses more than once. Please let TJ know ideas for kids games. Kim is working on flyers/advertising. We are expecting 600 people this year, up from 500 last year. All hands on deck for this event please.
Any Other:
General Ambulance Issues (Becky): Upgrades have been completed to Fire N, new microwave link should keep it running better. We will be upgrading our internet service thanks to a generous donation from Imery's the week of the 12th. Natalie has completed her probation and was voted in as Member. Please be careful not to leave equip on scene, we lost a stair chair. Also, vacuum is missing and needs to be returned asap. Please do not take things unless you have asked Captain or Chief.
Captains Reports:
TJ: Not much to report. Thanks to all that helped with the Funeral. Reminder Country Jam is coming up June 14th and Eagle will be covering, but we are their backup for this event.
Pete: Thanks for attending funeral. Reminder to keep on your toes, the busy season is upon us (Fly In,Rodeo, Concerts, etc). Reminder Kids Summer Rec event 6/21 from 0900 to 1200.
