No guests in attendance.
Correspondence:We received a letter from Doug Broling, announcing his resignation from the service. Doug volunteered with us for 10 years. Thank You Doug for your dedication.
Last Months Training: July 2016 CPR Recert and LUCAS Refresher went very well. TJ had one of the state manikins for us to practice our CPR on that rates your performance, compressions and recoil. Top score went to Jonelle with 99%. We are in the hat for the next drawing for another LUCAS device. Holcim should also be getting a LUCAS device soon, so if we get any calls over there the device might already be deployed when we get there.
Rodeo/Lunch/Parade: Lunch was delicious, Thank You Pixie for the wonderful food. We had an amazing turnout this year. Total donations $7082.50 including the $3000 donation from Imery's. After expenses of $931, we had a profit of $6150. Parade went well, but we ran out of candy. Will need more for next year. EMS vests made us much more visible at Rodeo standby, made it easier for patrons to find us. Huge Thanks to all that were involved and helped out, we could have never done it without each and everyone of you.
Training and Events:
August 15th: Driver Training and Review
September 19th: Scenarios at Station
October 17th: Stroke and Cardiac Arrest
Safety Officer (Cindy): Cindy has some Tactical EMS Training in the works. In light of the recent events in Dallas, etc where 1st responders have become targets, we need to be extra careful when responding. We cannot hide behind a false sense of security here in Montana just because we are so isolated compared with major cities around the US. We need to train on how to get ourselves out of dangerous situations if we had an attack/SHTF moment. Our safety is the biggest priority.
General Ambulance Issues:
Becky: Grace Nesbit's funeral will be held in Willow Creek Sunday Aug 7th at 5pm. Handout on proper documentation of patient pain was given out to help with reports. Permits for sidewalks have been approved and will be done by CRH. Sidewalks are going to be 8ft wide from the Library over to our lot.
Stacy: No radio or paging issues that have affected our area.
Sam (via text message): No announcements or issues. Very happy for progress on sidewalks.
TJ: Great job and Huge Thanks for making the rodeo/parade/lunch such a huge success. We couldn’t have done it without each and every one of you.
Pete: Thanks for stepping up and pitching in with schedule/on call.
Scheduling: Very tough schedule this month. Please step up and help out where you can.
Run Reviews: 35 calls for July: 14 Transports, 21 other.
Defib and Inventory: Pete Team 2 assignments have gone out.
