The minutes of the September meeting were approved.
Letters were read from Ross Johnson, IC of the Eustis Fire thanking the Ambulance and the Crew who were on the fire.
We also got a letter from MDOT awarding us the EMS Grant for a new power cot and stair chair.
Stacy asked about the Thomas Pack. There was some misunderstanding about the pack. TJ bought it and will loan it to the Service to try a month. If we like it, we can order 3 of them.
Maintenance - Pete said we are far down the list to get our door fixed. In the mean time, if the door won't close, hold the button in on the wall for at least 10 seconds to cause it go into override mode.
Supplies: David is gone, so Becky explained that we are not ordering 2" tape anymore, so that can be removed from the inventory. Plastic squirt tops are no longer available, they can be removed also. Epi Jr. are ordered as are 2 sets of head blocks.
Sept. 21st - Medical assessment and Ambulance familiarity.
Oct. 12th - Pipeline training
Oct. 19th - Trauma Assessment and Hypothermia
Nov 6-8 and 14th - AEMT refresher (also EMR and EMT)
Christmas party - Discussion held and moved to Feb.
Becky gave out Tshirts for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. They were purchased by the Board. They can be worn on all calls during October. If you didn't make the meeting, it is in your box.
Still need people to sign up for the Refresher or I will start assigning topics. You don't want to listen to Stacy and I for the whole weekend. Becky thanked those that are filling out the Trip Reports for filling out the whole form, supplies and pt info.
Stacy talked about the radios. They might have North Repeater fixed, but might still need to work on West. Stacy will text the person on call when he receives any up dates or changes.
4 wheeler - Kim said we are at about $7,000.00. The 4 wheeler is paid for and its all profit now.
Cindy will check with Mr Dobell to see if we can sell raffle tickets at the football games.
Fund Raising and Community Events - The Sac benefit is Oct 2nd. If you can be there about 8:00 for a few hours, please let Cindy know. We are also doing the Haunted House again. This is not a fund raiser. It is a Community Event hosted by the ambulance. We will charge only a small amount to help us buy stuff for next year. Cindy is the Chair, so far we have Becky, TJ, and Jonelle. Please let Cindy know if you can help. We will all need to provide treats for the event.
The Crew that did the Races brought home $743.00. They want us to do a two night event next year.
Captain's report - Pete was on an ambulance call and Sam was still working, so TJ just thanked everyone for all the good work and responding on calls.
Scheduling - Short schedule this month. If you can give a few hours on a day let Kim know and he will get you entered if you are not familiar with the calendar.
