Introduction of Guests: no guests present
New Stair Chair has arrived and will be placed into service in Amb 1. Reminder that the LUCAS device has been approved to deploy in the field.
Last Month's Training: Policy Manual is still in process of being updated, our suggested changes have gone to the Board for review. Once new Policy Manual is issued, copies will go out to all members and it will be posted on our website.
Maintenance (Pete): L bank lights on Amb 1 have cut out on high power after bumpy rd, you may have to turn the master switch off then back on to get them to work. Transmission has been a little rough when first started because of the cold if not warmed up. If you have the time to pull rig out and let run to warm up, please do so. DOT inspections have been done on Amb 1 and Amb 3, Amb 2 should be done later this week. Amb 2 has been checked for battery/power issues and none have been identified, please remember to turn master switch off at hospital while in ER, or pull rig outside and let run after offloading.
Supplies (David): New v vac and albuterol have arrived. We need to add Benadryl to the town shopping list. Will order cold packs. Cot on Amb 1 has been having issues with battery, battery doesnt seem to be keeping charge for very long. David has looked into new batteries and found smart batteries for $150 or we can rebuild current batteries at Batteries and Bulbs for $80, or Interstate offer batteries for $99, but they aren't smart batteries. Opted for the smart batteries to keep inline with manufacturer specs.

*** Please make an every effort to make it to these upcoming trainings, even though it seems like a lot, we have to train to keep our skills up to date.
Safety Officer (Cindy): Cindy spoke with Reach in regards to hot loading safety. Pilot is on R of chopper, patient is loaded on the left. Wait for ok before approaching, hand signals are used because of the noise level. Dont wear hats or any loose clothing, secure all equipment on yourself and cot/patient to avoid rotor damage/injury. Hot loading is beneficial with critical calls because it saves several minutes that would be wasted shutting off and restarting chopper. Upcoming demonstration will be beneficial to all members.
General Ambulance Issues: Please place fuel receipts in envelope reports are placed so they dont get lost in ambulance. When handing patient off at hospital, please get nurse/doctor signature. Drivers need to remember to document mileage on transports. When responding to calls, if someone comes up on the radio that needs runs, please allow them to respond especially if you have had plenty of runs. Run cards will no longer be issued for TFAA, since we are not affiliated with Fire. Protocol 33 has been brought up, but is for dispatch only and does not apply to us. Calls that are D priority should always be paged to AMR also, but it doesnt hurt to verify. AMR should be getting us on Fire West when responding to calls. On priority C calls, AMR is only sent about 50% of these calls, if you need them please get on radio with dispatch and make sure they are responding.
Sac Fundraiser (Cindy): Sac is still closed for winter, date TBD.
TJ: Hats and Beanies have arrived, please let him know if you are interested in one. All your help is greatly appreciated. Please speak up if you would like to see any specific trainings held. Annual t shirt orders are due some time in the spring.
Pete: New sign for bldg will be placed in "V" shape to make us more visible to traffic in both directions. Asked for ideas on design on sign, members agreed on sign similar to our patch as opposed to a basic logo. Sign should be approx 3ft by 3ft and lighted for added visibility. Also discussed adding a 2nd flag pole with Star Of Life emblem, consensus was 2nd flag would be overkill if new sign has Star of Life.
Sam: Working out details with unnamed donor for shrubs and landscaping and sand point well for irrigation. Landscaping is planned for the spring, date tbd. Holcim is donating sidewalk and TJ has arranged skid steer rental for 1wk to work on parking lot.
Scheduling: Please check schedule for Feb and 1st week of March and fill in anywhere you can. Pages will go out if no one signs up.
Run Review: Calls reviewed for January 2016.
